Pro Bono Law — Western Australia

A pro bono law firm founded by principal lawyer Peter HD Le — built on the belief that legal skill is worth the most when it’s given freely, to the people and causes that need it.

Westwood takes its name from Peter's two great passions: Western Australia and the Collingwood Football Club.

"Peter wants to live a life with purpose — to inspire and be inspired by the people around him."

Peter’s tenet is to help others and to act at all times righteously, with courage, humanity and kindness.

Peter wants to live a life with purpose.

He wants to inspire and be inspired by the people around him. He imagines a world where people wake up every morning and be inspired, feel safe wherever they may be, and at the end of the day be fulfilled by the work that they do.

Peter hopes that he has played some part in helping to advance towards that vision and he has dedicated his life and his career to it.

Peter is an award-winning senior legal practitioner within the West Australian legal fraternity, with over 25 years of experience across private practice, in-house legal counsel roles and local government. In private practice, he has worked for national, international and top-tier law firms, and is a trusted advisor to companies, not-for-profits, charities and social & sporting organisations.

Throughout his career, Peter has always been willing to provide pro bono legal work and advice.

He also sits on a wide range of boards, providing stewardship in legal, risk, governance and compliance — the throughline of a career spent putting expertise where it’s needed most.
